Metro Detroit Weather: Cloudy Week With Multiple Rain, Snow Chances

METRO DETROIT — After a sunny Monday in the metro Detroit area, clouds returned Tuesday morning with a chance for some spotty snow showers moving across the region, according to the National Weather Service.

Light snow showers are expected to roll through the metro Detroit area Tuesday morning as clouds thicken toward the afternoon hours, according to the National Weather Service.

The snow showers could then transition into light rain showers as temperatures warm into the 40s during the afternoon and evening hours across metro Detroit, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will continue warming to near 50 degrees Wednesday and Thursday with more rain chances before temperatures cool back down Friday with snow chances, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday: A chance of snow before noon, then a chance of rain and snow between noon and 1 p.m., then a chance of rain after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 40 degrees. South southeast wind around 6 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Wednesday: Cloudy, with a high near 46 degrees. South southeast wind 6 to 8 miles per hour.

Thursday: Rain. High near 47 degrees. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 5 to 10 miles per hour in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 22 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Friday: A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 34 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 34 degrees.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38 degrees.

Monday: A chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 42 degrees.
