Metro Detroit Weather: More Rain Chances, Cooler Temperatures

After Wednesday's rain showers across metro Detroit, the rest of the week looks comfortable with temperatures hovering around 75 degrees.

METRO DETROIT — After a sunny and dry start to Wednesday morning, rain showers are expected to pass through the metro Detroit region during the afternoon hours, the National Weather Service said.

Meteorologists expect light scattered rain showers to develop sometime after 3 p.m. across metro Detroit as temperatures make it into the low 70s.

A second wave and heavier rain showers are expected to roll through the metro Detroit area Wednesday night and possibly bleeding over into Thursday morning, the National Weather Service said.

Meteorologists do not expect any kind of severe weather, such as thunder or lightning with the heavier rain showers. However, the rain could make for a sloppy Thursday morning commute.

After any lingering showers in the metro Detroit area dissipate Thursday morning, the afternoon and evening hours look sunny and dry with temperatures reaching the mid 70s, the National Weather Service said.

Friday is shaping up to be the best day of the week across metro Detroit, as temperatures will reach a comfortable 75 degrees with a slight wind under mostly sunny skies, the National Weather Service said.

While weekend looks to have comfortable temperatures in the mid 70s around metro Detroit, it also brings the next chance for thunderstorms, particularly Saturday night.
