Temperatures across metro Detroit could reach 80 degrees this weekend.
METRO DETROIT — Any lingering rain showers should clear out of the metro Detroit area Thursday morning, leading to a warm and sunny Thursday afternoon with highs reaching the mid-60s, the National Weather Service said.
Thursday night's clear skies will bleed over into Friday morning with temperatures in the mid-50s before rain moves in, meteorologists said. Rain chances will increase Friday after 2 p.m. as clouds begin to thicken over metro Detroit skies, the National Weather Service said.
The scattered rain showers will increase heading into Friday evening, keeping Friday's high only in the mid-50s across metro Detroit, meteorologists said. But any scattered rain showers hanging around Friday night should clear out, setting up for a gorgeous weekend across metro Detroit.

Any lingering rain showers will exit the metro Detroit area Saturday morning, clearing the way for sunny skies and highs near 80 degrees, meteorologists said. Temperatures will easily hit the mid-70s, but increasing clearing skies may push highs into the low 80s, meteorologists said.
Sunday will be a near repeat across metro Detroit, as temperatures will easily reach the mid-70s, with a chance to reach the low 80s under clear morning and afternoon skies, meteorologists said. However, rain chances do increase Sunday evening, and any showers could linger into Monday morning, making for a sloppy morning commute, the National Weather Service said.
