Fourth of July weekend looks warm and sunny with no rain chances around metro Detroit.

METRO DETROIT — After a warm and dry Tuesday afternoon in the metro Detroit area, thunderstorm chances return Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service said.

Meteorologists said thunderstorm chances will pop up before 11 a.m. in the metro Detroit region. None of the storms are expected to be severe, the National Weather Service said.

After thunderstorms clear out Wednesday morning, afternoon highs will reach the mid 80s around the metro Detroit region, the National Weather Service said.

Thursday will be warmer in metro Detroit as meteorologists expect temperatures to reach 90 degrees under mostly clear skies. Humidity will also start creeping back up, making temperatures feel warmer throughout the day.

Friday morning brings the next chance of rain showers and thunderstorms in metro Detroit, before temperatures reach an afternoon high around 90 degrees, the National Weather Service said. The added humidity will make it feel warmer throughout the day. It will also fuel thunderstorms chances in the evening and nighttime hours.

The weekend looks warm and sunny in metro Detroit with no rain chances, the National Weather Service said. Meteorologists expect both Saturday and Sunday to be in the lower 80s with little to no humidity.

Monday, the Fourth of July in metro Detroit is almost a near repeat of Saturday and Sunday, with highs reaching 87 degrees under mostly clear skies.
