As early week showers fade away, sunshine and warmer days are on the horizon in the Metro Detroit area, according to meteorologists.

METRO DETROIT — As early week showers fade away, sunshine and warmer days are on the horizon in the Metro Detroit area, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures in the Metro Detroit area will remain fairly cool Wednesday and Thursday with highs reaching the low 60s under partly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.

However, meteorologists expect temperatures to start warming back up as we move toward the weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will all see afternoon highs reaching near 70 degrees under mostly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.

Morning lows this weekend will also be somewhat warmer in the region as well, as meteorologists expect the morning lows to hover around the mid 50s, as opposed to the mid 40s.
