Metro Detroit Weather: Rain/Snow Mix Expected Wednesday
Meteorologists said the metro Detroit area should see mostly rain Wednesday afternoon.
METRO DETROIT — After Metro Detroiters woke up to seasonably cool temperatures in the mid 20s Wednesday morning, a wintry mix - mostly rain - is expected to hit the region in the afternoon, the National Weather Service said.
Wednesday's temperatures will reach the low 40s by the time the wet weather arrives. The metro Detroit region is expected to see mostly rain, while areas north of Intestate 69 will see mostly snow, meteorologists said.
Although meteorologists said areas south of Interstate 59 cannot rule out light snow showers and sleet chances, the warmer temperatures should keep the precipitation as rain. However, metro Detroiters should expect slippery driving conditions for Wednesday's evening commute.
