Metro Detroit Weather: Snow Flurries, Weekend Rain Chances

METRO DETROIT — Some areas in the metro Detroit region can expect light snow flurries throughout Friday morning, the National Weather Service said. Friday's afternoon high will reach the mid 40s under mostly cloudy skies, once the lingering snow flurries clear out.

Saturday will start chilly in the metro Detroit area with temperatures only in the upper 20s under partly cloudy skies. However, Saturday is expected to warm up into the 50s, before increasing clouds brings in rain Saturday night, the National Weather Service said.

As temperatures drop into the 30s Saturday night, the rain is expected to continue into Sunday morning with temperatures remaining in the 30s. But Sunday afternoon looks to be dry with periods of sunshine that could push temperatures into the 50s, the National Weather Service said.
