Metro Detroit Weather: Temperatures Reach 70 Degrees Before Rain

METRO DETROIT — Tuesday might be the last warm day in Metro Detroit for a while, as temperatures are expected to reach the upper 70s under sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain showers will start moving into the Metro Detroit area Wednesday morning just after midnight and continue through the morning drive, making for a messy morning commute, according to the National Weather Service.

There could be a break in the Wednesday rain during the afternoon hours as temperatures try to reach 70 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

But some of the heaviest rain is expected to fall Wednesday night into Thursday morning in the Metro Detroit area, according to the National Weather Service. Meteorologists said there could also be some rumbles of thunder during the early morning showers as well.

The rain is expected to subside by Thursday afternoon as skies open up, but temperatures will struggle to make it out of the 50s, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday and Saturday in the Metro Detroit area look dry and sunny with temperatures staying in the 50s, according to the National Weather Service. Meteorologists said Sunday brings the next chance for rain in the region.
