METRO DETROIT — Temperatures are expected to warm-up into the 70s this week in metro Detroit, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday will be cool and dry with highs staying in the 50s before temperatures hit 70 degrees Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The warmer temperatures will stick around in the metro area throughout the week, hovering around both sides of 70 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain chances pick up during the week in the metro area with the most likely chances coming Wednesday, when the area could see an all-day rainmaker, according to the National Weather Service.
There are also chances of rain on Thursday and Friday, as well as Saturday when high temperatures fall back down into the upper 50s, according to the National Weather Service.

Here's the National Weather Service's extended outlook for the metro Detroit area:
Monday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 55 degrees. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 9 miles per hour in the morning.
Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 71 degrees. South southwest wind 9 to 13 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 18 miles per hour.
Wednesday: A chance of showers after 8am. Cloudy, with a high near 67 degrees. South southwest wind 8 to 16 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 24 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
Thursday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Friday: A chance of showers after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 73 degrees. Breezy.
Saturday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58 degrees.
Sunday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 55 degrees.
