Metro Detroit Weather: Weekend Snow Chances

Rain and snow chances will increase Friday night as the cold front will push temperatures into the 30s in the metro Detroit area.

METRO DETROIT — Although the metro Detroit area will see a dry Friday with highs reaching the 40s, a moving cold front will sweep through the area Friday evening, bringing cooler temperatures and rain/snow chances, the National Weather Service said.

Rain and snow chances will increase Friday night as the cold front will push temperatures into the 30s in the metro Detroit area. The cooler temperatures and wet weather will continue into Saturday morning, when metro Detroiters can expect light on and off snow showers, before transitioning into a light rain in the early afternoon, the National Weather Service said.
