MI Gas Prices Fall 19 Cents, Metro Detroit Sees 24 Cent Decrease: AAA

MICHIGAN — Average gas prices across Michigan continued declining Monday, falling 19 cents from last week, according to AAA.

Michigan drivers paid an average of $4.42 for a gallon of regular gas, a significant drop from when gas prices reached their all-time at $5.07 just last month, according to AAA.

Motorists are now paying an average of $66 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline, according to AAA.

"Michigan motorists have seen gas prices decrease 65 cents within the past month," AAA spokeswoman Adrienne Woodland said, while adding that if demand remains low as supply increases, motorists "will likely see pump prices decline."

Average gas prices across metro Detroit saw an even larger decrease Monday, as prices fell 24 cents from last week, according to AAA.
