MI Man Hit With Ax In Road Rage Incident: Report

TRAVERSE CITY, MI — A 74-year-old man was injured after he was hit with an ax during a road rage incident Tuesday in Traverse City, according to a report.
The man stayed through a red light instead of turning right at the intersection of Woodmere and Hannah before continuing straight and pulling into a parking lot at a nearby library, UpNorthLive (WPGBN/WGTU) reports.
The suspect, a 70-year-old man, followed the victim into the parking lot where he exited his car and struck him in the upper arm with an ax, according to the report.

The victim took himself to a nearby hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the report.
The suspect was later arrested at his home and charged with assault to do great bodily harm, less than murder, according to the report.
