MICHIGAN — Michigan appears to be one of the most haunted states in the country, as Michiganders have reported the fourth-most ghost sightings across the nation, according to GhostsOfAmerica.com. (Only Texas, California and Ohio have reported more.)

Nearly every city in Michigan has reported at least one ghost sighting, with people in Monroe reporting 48 sightings over the years, the most in the state, according to the website.

Most people claiming to have seen a ghost reported hearing strange noises and doors slamming for no reason, according to the website. Some sightings even come with photos people took claiming to have seen a ghost.
