Michigan Coronavirus Recoveries Reach 481,000

Michigan health officials provided an update Saturday on how many people in the state have recovered from the coronavirus.

MICHIGAN — The number of people in Michigan who have recovered from the coronavirus is nearing 482,000, according to the most recent data released Saturday by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

State health officials in Michigan said that as of Friday, 481,801 people in the state had recovered from the coronavirus. Michigan releases its coronavirus recovery data weekly on Saturday.

Also on Saturday, the MDHHS reported that 1,358 new cases of the coronavirus had been confirmed in Michigan, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state to 559,241.

Michigan health officials also reported 104 more COVID-19 deaths Saturday, bringing the coronavirus death toll in the state to 14,601. Ninety-three of those deaths were discovered through a vital records review and occurred previously, officials noted.
