Michigan Sees Lowest Gas Prices In Nearly A Year: AAA

Gas prices in Michigan and Metro Detroit continued falling Monday to averages not seen in nearly a year, according to AAA.

MICHIGAN — Gas prices in Michigan and Metro Detroit continued falling Monday to averages not seen in nearly a year, according to AAA.

The average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.43, which is 19 cents cheaper than last week and the lowest since it was $3.24 this time a year ago, according to AAA.

Gas prices in Metro Detroit were even cheaper Monday, as the average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.27, which is 18 cents cheaper than last week and four cents cheaper than this time last year, according to AAA.

"Michigan gas prices continue to fall with motorists now paying almost 80 cents less than this time last month," said Adrienne Woodland, spokesperson, AAA-The Auto Club Group. "As demand remains low and stocks grow, drivers will likely continue to see pump prices decrease through this week."
