More Than 1K In Metro Detroit Still Without Power Tuesday Morning: DTE

At one point, there were more than 116,000 DTE Energy customers in metro Detroit​ without power after a winter storm hit the area last week.

METRO DETROIT — More than a 1,000 DTE Energy customers in metro Detroit were still without power Tuesday morning after a powerful winter storm rolled through the area last week, according to the utility company’s outage center.

Most of the outages were in western Oakland County, specifically around the Wixom area, according to the utility company’s outage center. There were also outages in the Detroit and Dearborn areas as well.

At one point, there were more than 116,000 DTE Energy customers in metro Detroit without power after the winter storm brought high winds and heavy snow to the area last week, according to the utility company’s outage center.
