More Severe Weather Can Hit Detroit Area Friday
Another line of powerful thunderstorms can hit southeastern Michigan Friday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Another round of severe weather can hit southeastern Michigan Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
A line of showers and storms will move across the Saginaw Bay region sometime midday Friday when high temperatures climb toward 90 degrees in the region, according to the weather service.
A second line of storms will develop sometime after 4 p.m. Friday and move across the southeastern Michigan region, according to the weather service.

Forecasters said those storms will be stronger and capable of producing heavy downpours, large hail, damaging winds up to or greater than 60 miles per hour and an isolated tornado in some areas.
As of Thursday morning, forecasters were still uncertain how widespread the storms will be in the afternoon and evening hours.

All of southeastern Michigan was placed under a marginal risk for severe weather Friday.
Officials were still cleaning up the damage left from Tuesday's storms across Southeastern Michigan. More than 74,000 DTE Energy customers in the region were still without power Thursday morning.
