More Snow Tuesday As Dangerously Cold Winds Linger: Metro Detroit Weather

Wind chills will consistently drop to -10 and -15 degrees this week, the weather service said.​

Another round of snow is expected across metro Detroit Tuesday morning along with dangerously cold temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.

Light snow showers will pass through the region in the morning hours before becoming more scattered in the afternoon hours, the weather service said.

Forecasters expect a dusting of up to 2 inches of snow across the Detroit area Tuesday.

Highs Tuesday will climb toward 20 degrees and lows will fall to the single digits with wind chills dropping to as low as -10 degrees, the weather service said.

It will only get colder from there as highs steadily fall with lows eventually falling below zero this week, the weather service.

The cold air can cause frostbite on exposed skin with 30 minutes. Forecasters urge limiting your time outdoors. If you must be outside, they urge you to dress in layers and be aware of the signs of frostbite and hypothermia, such as uncontrollable shivering, disorientation, incoherence, slurred speech, drowsiness and exhaustion.
