More Snow Wednesday As Bitter Cold Hangs Around: Metro Detroit Weather
A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect for all of southeastern Michigan through noon Wednesday.
SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN — More snow is expected across southeastern Michigan on Wednesday amid dangerously cold temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.
Most of the region woke up to air temperatures anywhere between -3 and -10 degrees with widespread wind chills falling to -15 and -20 degrees, according to the weather service.
Forecasters warned this type of dangerously cold temperatures could result in frostbite in less than 30 minutes to exposed skin.

Widespread snow showers will move into southeastern Michigan during the afternoon hours Wednesday, mainly north of Interstate 69, according to the weather service.

By the nighttime hours, more widespread light snow will cover most of southeastern Michigan, according to the weather service.
The light snow showers will continue overnight into Thursday morning before fading away during the afternoon hours, according to the weather service.
Forecasters expect up to 2 inches of fresh snow in areas north of Interstate 69, while areas south of the interstate will likely see around 1 inch of snow.
High temperatures across southeastern Michigan will also warm back up to near average Thursday and into the weekend, according to the weather service.
