SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — More severe thunderstorms are expected to hit southeastern Michigan later this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters warned the thunderstorms could produce heavy downpours, damaging winds and tornadoes.

The storms are expected to move into the area sometime Wednesday afternoon when highs jump into the 60s, according to the weather service.
