More Strong Winds, Rain Showers This Weekend: Metro Detroit Weather
A second cold front in three days is expected to bring strong winds to the Detroit area this weekend, the National Weather Service said.
METRO DETROIT — Meteorologists expect temperatures to reach the upper 40s Friday afternoon in Metro Detroit, just ahead of a strong cold front that's expected to bring rain and gusty winds, according to the National Weather Service.
Winds will gradually increase throughout the day Friday, eventually reaching 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour as temperatures warm to near 50 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Scattered rain showers will then develop overnight Friday into Saturday morning as the cold front sweeps through the Detroit area, pushing temperatures down into the low 30s, according to the National Weather Service.

Persistent wind gusts above 40 miles per hour will make Saturday afternoon feel even colder, as wind chills will be in the low 20s and teens, according to the National Weather Service.
Strong winds will hang around Sunday morning, keeping temperatures in the low 20s under cloudy skies, according to the National Weather Service.
