Areas south of metro Detroit face the greatest chance for severe weather Wednesday afternoon, according to NWS.

Conditions will be better Thursday, though there is still a chance for showers in the morning hours, according to NWS.

Thursday's high will climb toward 80 degrees once the morning showers move through the area, according to NWS.

Sunny conditions with highs near 80 degrees will return Friday and through the weekend, according to NWS.
