SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — A dry stretch of weather across southeastern Michigan will come to an end Monday afternoon when the first of three waves of thunderstorms roll into the region, according to the National Weather Service.
Isolated thunderstorms and scattered rain showers will move into the southeastern Michigan region Monday afternoon when temperatures reach the mid 80s, according to the weather service.
Those storms are not expected to be severe, but forecasters warned some southeastern Michigan areas could see heavy downpours.

The storms will fade away overnight before a second wave moves into the southeastern Michigan region late Tuesday evening, according to the weather service.

A third wave of thunderstorms will hit the southeastern Michigan region Wednesday when a cold front moves through the area, according to the weather service.
Those thunderstorms can be on the strong side, though forecasters do not expect any severe weather Wednesday.
