DETROIT — A new breakfast restaurant is opening in Detroit's Midtown neighborhood this summer. Effin Egg, known for the breakfast sandwiches, pancakes and waffles, is opening a new restaurant at 4160 Cass Ave in late July, according to its website. The spot was the former Treat Dreams location. The new restaurant will be the first Michigan location, and joins several others around the nation, including in Illinois, Tennessee and Texas.

This concert features wind and string players who are members of the Detroit Opera Orchestra, performing an exciting program that includes works with a connection to the amazing world of opera! 

The performers include flutist Andrea Velasquez, oboist Eli Stefanacci, bassoonist Daniel Fendrick and Colin Bianchi on French Horn, all of whom hold principal positions in the Detroit Opera Orchestra. They will present a mix of classic woodwind quintet repertoire and opera favorites! 
Recently appointed Principal Harpist Juan Riveros will also perform, along with violinist Velda Kelly, violist Scott Stefanko and double bassist Jean Posekany. The program includes chamber music by Rossini, Vanhal and Koussevitsky.
You won’t want to miss this lineup of exceptional musicians performing in the incredible acoustics of the Scarab Club. You may have heard them play in the opera pit or on the stage but at the Scarab Club you’ll sit up close to the musicians and will be surrounded by beautiful works of art! It’s a very special experience.
