New Chipotle Mexican Grill Coming To Detroit: Here's When

DETROIT — Chipotle Mexican Grill is planning to open their first downtown Detroit location sometime next spring, according to Chipotle Spokesperson Annie Gradinger.

The Mexican inspired chain will open its first store at 630 Woodward Ave. in Suite 620, right next to Shake Shack. The building is owned by Bedrock.

The restaurant will offer a dine-in option as well as a walk-up window that allows guests to conveniently pick up digital orders, Gradinger said.

Crain’s Detroit Business first reported the upcoming downtown Detroit location.

There are roughly 3,200 Chipotle locations across the U.S., including 55 restaurants in Michigan including one in Detroit at Radnor Street and Mack Avenue, near the city of Grosse Pointe.
