New Restaurants To Bring Street Food and Healthy Beverage Options

Street Cuisine and Ocean's Fresh Juice Bar aims to serve the Rosedale Park neighborhood with high-quality ingredients and health in mind.

To celebrate the grand opening of Street Cuisine andOcean’s Fresh Juice Bar,neighboring restaurants under the same owner, aribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at11 a.m. on July 25.

Street Cuisine, located at 19803 W. McNichols Rd. in the Rosedale Park neighborhood, features classic American cuisine favorites, along with an assortment of traditional international street food. Adjacent to the restaurant is Ocean’s Fresh Juice Bar, at

19805 W. McNichols Rd.,specializing in healthful, cold pressed juices.

Ari Shah is a day trader and the owner of both establishments. A Rosedale Park neighborhood native, he spent much of his life traveling nationwide and around the world. During his busy travels, he encountered many street vendors offering flavorful and affordable cuisine that was easy to grab and go.

“I love everything about street food,” said Shah. “It’s typically the most authentic cuisine of a particular culture or region you can get and I wanted to share that culinary experience with my hometown.”

Street Cuisine offers foods from Chicago and Miami to London and Mexico. The menu includes the house specialty, easy-to-hold lamb chops, as well as Street Polish sausages, Street Tacos, Street Sliders, fried shrimp, Chicago-style hot dog, Detroit-style Coney dog, and traditional and boneless wings with mouth-watering flavors like buffalo, Cajun, teriyaki, Louisiana rub and more. Street Cuisine also offers breakfast options, like sandwiches, French toast, and pancakes.

Along with his love of flavors from around the world, Shah also believes in fueling his body with the proper food to live a healthy lifestyle. “What you put into your body is what you get out of it. That is the idea that influenced me to open a restaurant in the neighborhood I grew up in that offers a healthy option with high quality ingredients,” said Shah.

Patrons in search of healthful beverage options can visit Ocean’s Fresh Juice Bar, which offers cold pressed juices, smoothies and wellness shots packed with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and enzymes from fresh, seasonal, all natural, raw, never pasteurized, organic fruits and vegetables, making it possible to hydrate and fill one’s body with wholesome nutrients. Its menu also offers juice combinations to help combat specific ailments, such as fatigue, stress, the common cold and a hangover.

Ocean’s Fresh Juice Bar also offers a state-of-the-art flavored oxygen bar. Guests can choose a 30- or 60-minute session to breathe oxygen using a nasal cannula. The flavors originate from an all-natural, pure essential oil and each serves in providing many mental and physical health benefits. Featured flavors include lemongrass, vanilla, orange, lavender, peppermint and eucalyptus.

TechTown Detroit’s SWOT City, a customized support program for brick-and-mortar small businesses in Detroit neighborhoods, has helped Shah with marketing resources and the grand opening of Street Cuisine and Ocean’s Fresh Juice Bar.

“I appreciate the support I have received from TechTown Detroit. Its SWOT City program has made this process much easier for me,” added Shah. “It is an honor to see my vision become a reality and to serve this great city.”
