NFL Alumni Association Detroit Chapter Announces Scholarship Winners

Eleven hardworking students awarded $2,500 scholarships at Ford Field

Detroit, MI - August, 2023 - The NFL Alumni Association Detroit Chapter celebrates the announcement of the scholarship recipients at the conclusion of the 44th Annual Charity Golf Classic. Thanks to the unparalleled support of sponsors and attendees, the event raised more than $100,000 in funds for the fourth consecutive year. This monumental success has paved the way for 11 outstanding Michigan student-athletes to each be granted a $2,500 college scholarship from the NFL Alumni Association Detroit Chapter.

The NFL Alumni Association Detroit Chapter has supported more than 30 high school student-athletes from Wayne County with college scholarships since 2012 through membership events and the support of community partners.

Additionally, the NFL Alumni Association Detroit Chapter was elated to distinguish Mike Martin, a renowned U of M alumnus and 82nd pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, as the Alumni of the Year. A testament to the spirit of Detroit, Martin and his family make the city their cherished home.
