Oakland County Man, 23, Killed In 3-Car Crash On I-96: Police
Troopers said a 23-year-old Farmington Hills man was speeding on a motorcycle and rear-ended another car on the freeway.

DETROIT — A man was killed and another person was injured in a three-car crash Tuesday night on Interstate 96 in Detroit, according to Michigan State Police.
Troopers said a 23-year-old Farmington Hills man was speeding on a motorcycle in the eastbound lanes on the freeway near Scotten Street at 8:55 p.m. when he rear-ended a Ford Fusion.
The man was thrown from the bike and the driver of the Fusion struck an embankment and rolled over on the freeway, according to Michigan State Police.

A Chevy Bolt then struck the Fusion and also rolled over multiple times on the freeway, according to Michigan State Police.
Troopers said the motorcycle rider was killed in the crash. The driver of the Bolt suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital and expected to be ok, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers did not report any other injuries in the crash.
"Excessive speed is a leading cause of fatal traffic crashes across the state," First Lt. Mike Shaw said. "This risky driving behavior is even worse on a motorcycle. As the riding season approaches we are urging motorcycle drivers to slow down and drive safely."
