Opening Day Postponed: Tigers Game Rained Out
For Tigers fans the inevitable has happened this drizzly Opening Day.

DETROIT, MI — The Detroit Tigers have postponed their season opener against Pittsburgh Pirates at Comerica Park Thursday afternoon. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is expected in the forecast, raining out fans. Typical for a late March day, the high will reach around 42 degrees, according to Weather.gov, with a 100% chance of rain throughout the day. The drizzle started Thursday morning and not let up until around 8 p.m.
The game has been rescheduled for Friday, March 30 with first pitch set again for 1:10 p.m, the Detroit Tigers announced to fans on Twitter Thursday morning. All paid tickets for today’s game will be honored for Friday’s game or can be exchanged for any future regular season game in the next 12 months.
