Oscar Mayer's Wienermobile Coming MI This Weekend: Here Are Its Stops

The famed Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is coming to​ Michigan, with four stops in the metro Detroit area this weekend.

MICHIGAN — The famed Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is coming to Michigan with four stops in the metro Detroit area this weekend.

The 27-foot long hot dog on wheels, which was originally built in 1936, will make its first stop Friday in Macomb County. Here is the full schedule of where you can see the "Wienermobile" this weekend in Michigan:

  • Friday, March 22, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. - Walmart in Shelby Township at 51450 Shelby Parkway
  • Saturday, March 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. - The Henry Ford in Dearborn at 20900 Oakwood Blvd.
  • Sunday, March 24 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Walmart in Clinton Township at 18400 Hall Rd.
  • Wednesday, April 3 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. - Walmart in New Baltimore at 45400 Marketplace Blvd.

The Wienermobiles are sophisticated vehicles, sporting V8 engines, 52-inch flat-screen TVs, removable "bun roofs" and hot dog-shaped dashboards.

A Portillo's beef bus will also be in the metro Detroit area this weekend, as anticipation grows for the opening of its second metro area restaurant.
