There's a slight chance for thunderstorms with the rain showers Wednesday, though forecasters do not expect any severe weather, according to the National Weather Service.

The scattered rainfall will pick up later in the day Wednesday toward the nighttime hours, especially in Oakland and Macomb counties, according to the National Weather Service.
