Temperatures are expected to hit 62 degrees Friday in southeastern Michigan, setting a new record (56 degrees in 2001), according to the National Weather Service.

Although the unusually warm temperatures won't stick around long, highs across southeastern Michigan will stay above average at least through mid-February, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain could move into southeastern Michigan Saturday morning, but should fizzle away by the afternoon hours when high temperatures reach the upper 40s, according to the National Weather Service.

A significant snowstorm that was on track to hit southeastern Michigan early next week appears to have shifted farther south and should miss most of the region, according to AccuWeather forecasters.

Saturday: Partly sunny; high 49, low 29.

Sunday: Partly sunny; high 42, low 29.

Monday: Mostly sunny; high 40, low 28.
