SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN — Multiple rounds of thunderstorms are likely across southeastern Michigan this weekend when temperatures flirt with record highs, according to the National Weather Service.
High temperatures across southeastern Michigan will hit the mid 60s Friday before the first round of thunderstorms roll into the region during the nighttime hours, according to the weather service.
Stronger thunderstorms are expected to cross southeastern Michigan during the afternoon and evening hours Saturday when highs reach the upper 70s, according to the weather service.

Forecasters warned some of those storms can be severe with heavy downpours, large hail up to 1 inch in diameter and 60 mile per wind gusts, according to the weather service.
Most of southeastern Michigan is under a marginal threat (level 1 0f 5) for severe weather Saturday. Forecasters expect the strongest thunderstorms to develop northwest along a line from Adrian to Bad Axe.
