Severe Thunderstorms, High Winds Expected Wednesday Evening
Last week strong winds caused havoc around the region. Winds are expected to pound the area again Wednesday with gusts up to 60 mph.

METRO DETROIT, MI — A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for the southeast Michigan region as thunderstorms and possibly hail are expected Wednesday evening. According to the National Weather Service, severe thunderstorms are expected after 8 p.m., with wind gusts reaching 60 mph. Small hail will also be possible, according to the forecast.
Rain is in the forecast until early Thursday morning, with up to a half an inch of accumulation.
Thursday will return to the 70s, but expect more thunderstorms for the weekend.
Last week high winds up to 65 mph knocked out power for close to 300,000 DTE customers around the area and were the cause of one man's death after a tree snapped and crushed him. Another man, a postal worker, was also injured by a tree that fell.
