Severe Thunderstorms Possible Wednesday In Metro Detroit
Meteorologists warned the warm temperatures Wednesday could spark more thunderstorms in the Metro Detroit area.
METRO DETROIT — After multiple rounds of thunderstorms Tuesday across the Metro Detroit area, Wednesday's highs will hit near 90 degrees with storm chances before temperatures plummet the first day of fall, the National Weather Service said.
Meteorologists warned the warm temperatures Wednesday could spark more thunderstorms in the Metro Detroit area sometime between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the entire Metro Detroit area at least until 1 p.m., the National Weather Service said.
Any thunderstorm that pops up could produce heavy downpours, large hail and gusty winds up to 60 miles per hour, the National Weather Service said. Areas along and south of Interstate 94 will see the greatest chance of storms, the National Weather Service said.

Thursday, the official start to autumn, will feel a lot different in the Metro Detroit area, the National Weather Service said. Meteorologists said temperatures will start at 55 degrees Thursday and highs won't make it to 65 degrees.
