Sheetz To Open 14 Gas Stations Across Metro Detroit In 2026: What To Know

Sheetz, a popular mid-Atlantic gas station and convenience store chain, is planning to open more than a dozen new spots across metro Detroit in 2026.

The company said Wednesday they will offer more "access to convenient food and retail options" throughout southeast Michigan while also "creating jobs that offer training, advancement, and long-term career opportunities."

The new locations are expected to create roughly 400 jobs.

"We can't wait to become part of these communities, and we look forward to serving the specific needs of our neighbors in each of these areas. Whether that's satisfying late-night cravings, providing a quick fill-up, or offering a safe space to gather, we're committed to creating places where both customers and employees feel welcomed."

The 2026 store openings will include locations at:

• 19001 East 9 Mile Rd. Eastpointe
• 2103 West Michigan Ave., Ypsilanti
• 5970 12 Mile Rd., Warren
• 20623 Eureka Rd., Taylor
• 39471 West 12 Mile Rd., Novi
• 32981 Utica Rd., Fraser
• 4160 S. Lapeer Rd., Orion Township
• 8200 Telegraph Rd., Taylor
• 45075 North Gratiot Ave., Macomb
• 7828 22 Mile Rd., Shelby Twp.
• 7840 Haggerty Rd., Belleville
• 2003 12 Mile Rd., Warren
• 3200 West 14 Mile Rd., Royal Oak
• 50980 North Ave., Macomb

The company plans to release more information about each location when it gets closer to its opening date, which is right now undetermined.

Sheet opened its fourth Michigan location in late December at 31925 Van Dyke Ave. in Warren, which was the former Pampa Lanes bowling alley.

The new locations come as Sheetz plans to open 50-60 stores in Michigan over the next 5-6 years.

Public reactions to Sheetz's expansion into the metro Detroit area have been mixed. While some welcome the chain to fill in vacant lots and buildings, others have voiced concerns about traffic, noise and light pollution.

The chain is best known for its award-winning Made-to-Order menu, which allows residents, or "Sheetz Freakz" to order any of Sheetz’s customized drinks or food items around the clock.

Sheetz operates 800+ store locations across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Michigan, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland, with all locations open 24/7, 365 days a year.
