Snowstorm Expected To Hit Metro Detroit This Week: MI Weather
The snowstorm will move into southeastern Michigan on Wednesday, bringing heavy snowfall that will impact travel, forecasters said.
METRO DETROIT — After an all-day Sunday snowmaker left roughly 2 inches of snow across Metro Detroit, forecasters are now turning their attention to a midweek snowstorm that could dump more than 4 inches of snow in the metro area, according to the National Weather Service.
The low pressure system coming up from the South will move into the Ohio valley Wednesday, bringing heavy snowfall to the region that will impact travel, the National Weather Service warned.
The snow will start falling across southeastern Michigan on Wednesday morning with the bulk of it falling during the afternoon hours as temperatures reach the low 30s before tapering off in the evening hours, the National Weather Service said.

The snowstorm will also impact traffic as strong 20 to 30 miles per hour northeastern winds will blow snow across the roadways, significantly reducing visibility, the National Weather Service warned.
Most areas south of Interstate 69 in the metro Detroit region should expect to see at least 4 inches of snow, with higher totals farther south toward the Ohio border, the National Weather Service said.
