METRO DETROIT — Get your shovel ready again as another snowstorm could dump several inches of snow across metro Detroit on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Four to six inches of snow could fall Friday across southeast Michigan, impacting most of the day including the morning commute, according to the weather service.
The snow is expected to start falling around midnight Thursday and continue overnight into Friday morning when the heaviest snow will fall at rates of a half inch to an inch per hour, according to the weather service.

The snow will start decreasing Friday afternoon and come to an end Friday evening, as temperatures reach 35 degrees, according to the weather service.
The impending Friday snowstorm comes one week after a winter storm dumped roughly 6 inches of snow in metro Detroit and up to 10 inches in other areas across Livingston and Oakland counties.

More than 200,000 DTE Energy customers in the region lost power as the heavy and wet snow downed thousands of power lines. That came on top of a "historic" ice storm on Feb. 16 that knocked out power to roughly 630,000 people in the region, leaving them without power for days.
Here's the NWS's extended forecast for metro Detroit:
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 43 degrees. North wind 8 to 11 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 20 miles per hour.
Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 41 degrees. Northeast wind 8 to 10 miles per hour. A chance of snow after 1 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 31 degrees. Blustery, with an east northeast wind 11 to 18 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 28 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
Friday: Snow. High near 35 degrees. Breezy, with an east northeast wind 18 to 22 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 33 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of around 4 inches.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34 degrees.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35 degrees.
