SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Severe thunderstorms are likely Wednesday across southeastern Michigan as heat and humidity continues building throughout the region, according to the National Weather Service.
The scattered storms will move into southeastern Michigan Wednesday afternoon between 3 and 10 p.m., when highs climb well into the 80s with heat indices into the low 90s, according to the weather service.
Forecasters warned the storms will be capable of producing heavy downpours and strong wind gusts reaching up to 60 miles per hour.
