SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Multiple rounds of showers and storms are possible this week across southeastern Michigan, according to the National Weather Service.
The first chance of rain comes on Tuesday, when highs hit the upper 80s across the region, the weather service said.
Showers may linger into Wednesday morning in some spots before strong thunderstorms move into the region during the afternoon hours, the weather service said.

Forecasters warned the storms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour, large hail and a couple of tornadoes.
Most of southeastern Michigan has a slight (level 2/5) chance for severe weather late Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night.

Rain chances will stick around Thursday before giving way to a sunny Friday, which is the first day of summer, the weather service said.
Hot temperatures then move into the region this weekend as highs soar into the 90s, the weather service said.
