Storms Possible Each Day This Week Amid Intense Heat In Detroit Area

SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Scattered thunderstorms are possible across southeastern Michigan all week as heat and humid builds throughout the region, according to the National Weather Service.
An excessive heat warning remains in effect for Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties through 8 p.m. on Friday, while the remaining areas in the region are under a heat advisory for the same time frame.
Highs will remain in the low 90s with heat indices near 100 degrees across southeastern Michigan each day this week through Saturday, according to the weather service.

There will be little to no overnight relief during the heat wave as lows will only drop into the upper 70s across southeastern Michigan, according to the weather service.
