Warmer temperatures with storm chances return to the region this weekend into early next week.

But first, highs will struggle to reach 50 degrees with rain throughout Friday, the weather service said.

Drier conditions return Saturday with afternoon sunshine pushing temperatures well into the 50s, the weather service said.

Much warmer temperatures move into the area next week with highs climbing into the 70s, the weather service said.

With those warmer temperatures come chances for thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday, the weather service said.

Sunday: Rain; High 74, Low 62
