Suspects Accused of Firing on Detroit Police Officers with AR-15

Detroit police are saying little about the incident, other than that two people are in custody.

DETROIT, MI — Two people are in custody after one of them was accused of shooting at Detroit police Wednesday morning with what was believed to be an AR-15 rifle, according to media reports. No one was injured, police said.

The incident occurred in the area of Remington Avenue and Charleston Street. Multiple witnesses said they saw one of the suspects level and direct a gun at a Detroit police car, and one said shots were fired, according to a report from WJBK-TV.

Police set up a command post in the area, but haven't released any other information.
