Taurid Meteor Shower Peak Forecast: Metro Detroit Weekend Weather

METRO DETROIT, MI — You’ll have clear skies Friday and Saturday for the Taurid meteor shower peak Friday and Saturday, though the light of a waxing gibbous moon could outshine them. Oh, well. There are plenty of other reasons to be outside this weekend, and great fall weather will make the time more enjoyable.
It’s going to be cool but sunny both Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 48; light west wind becoming west southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 34; west southwest wind around 9 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 52; 2est southwest wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 37.

And we hate to break it to you now, and it’s certainly subject to change, but the super-supermoon forecast is a super bummer. The National Weather Service says skies over Metro Detroit will be mostly cloudy for the Monday, Nov. 14, supermoon.
