A Detroit teen could spend the rest of his life in prison after he fatally shot a man during an armed robbery last month, prosecutors said.
DETROIT — A Detroit teen could spend the rest of his life in prison after he fatally shot a man during an armed robbery last month, according to prosecutors.
Officers found 21-year-old Keimonte Johnson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside a car along Michigan Avenue near Livernois in Detroit, prosecutors said.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said 19-year-old Mikeal Keyonne Franklin fired shots at Johnson before robbing him of his money and leaving the scene.
Franklin was charged with premeditated first-degree murder, felony murder, armed robbery, carrying a concealed weapon, felonious assault and four counts of felony firearm.

He was placed in jail without bond. His next court date is scheduled for March 30.
Prosecutors said more details about the shooting will be released during Franklin's preliminary exam, which is set for April 6.
