Thunderstorms Friday, Then Lots Of Sunshine: Metro Detroit Weather
Forecasters do not expect any severe weather, but said some thunderstorms could produce heavy rainfall and strong wind gusts.
METRO DETROIT — Thunderstorms are possible Friday evening in the metro Detroit area as temperatures climb back up into the upper 70s, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters do not expect any severe weather, but said any thunderstorm that pops up in the region could produce brief periods of heavy rainfall and wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour, the weather service said.
Any overnight rain showers and thunderstorms in the region should fade away by Saturday morning, as high temperatures drop back into the mid-to-upper 60s, the weather service said.

Temperatures in the region will climb back toward 80 degrees under sunny skies Sunday, the weather service said. Moreover, there's plenty of sunshine and warm days in the extended metro Detroit forecast:
Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 67 degrees. West northwest wind 10 to 13 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 21 miles per hour.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 78 degrees. West wind around 9 miles per hour.
Monday: Sunny, with a high near 74 degrees.
Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 81 degrees.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78 degrees.
