METRO DETROIT — A sweeping cold front Wednesday evening could bring strong thunderstorms and gusty winds to the Metro Detroit area, according to the National Weather Service.
Meteorologists said Metro Detroiters should prepare for the thunderstorms to bring strong winds up to 50 miles per hour with periods of heavy rain and possible hail between 6 and 11 p.m.
Highs in the Metro Detroit area are expected to reach 70 degrees Wednesday before the moving cold front pushes temperatures down into the 50s, according to the National Weather Service.
