SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Multiple rounds of thunderstorms can hit southeastern Michigan this week, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures will reach the upper 70s Monday across southeastern Michigan before storms move into the region starting Tuesday, according to the weather service.

Thunderstorms can hit those in areas between Michigan 59 and Interstate 69 Tuesday morning as temperatures soar into the upper 80s, according to the weather service.

More storms and widespread rain is likely across southeastern Michigan on Wednesday when a cold front moves into the region, pushing temperatures back below 80 degrees, according to the weather service.

As of Monday morning, forecasters do not expect the storms to be severe, according to the weather service.

High temperatures will then stay in the 70s with a couple chances of rain for the rest of the week across southeastern Michigan, according to the weather service.

Monday: Sunny; High 80, Low 66

Tuesday: Sunny/Storms; High 88, Low 69

Wednesday: Rain/Storms; High 82, Low 63

Thursday: Sunny; High 79, Low 58

Friday: Chance of Rain; High 72, Low 57
