Thunderstorms Possible Across Detroit Area Thursday: MI Weather

SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN — Showers and thunderstorms are likely across southeastern Michigan Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday will be sunny and dry with highs reaching the low 70s across southeastern Michigan before rain showers and a few isolated thunderstorms move into the region during the nighttime hours, according to the weather service.

Although forecasters warned some storms may produce heavy downpours and wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour, they do not expect any severe weather.

The rain will linger through the overnight hours and become heavier and more widespread Friday morning across southeastern Michigan, according to the weather service.

Forecasters do not expect any severe weather Friday.

There's another chance for rain Saturday morning across southeastern Michigan and chances for an isolated shower on Sunday in the region, according to the weather service.

Thursday: Sunny/Rain; High 72, Low 56

Friday: Rain; High 79, Low 58

Saturday: Rain; High 72, Low 58

Sunday: Rain; High 75, Low 53

Monday: Sunny; High 72, Low 55
