Thunderstorms Possible In Metro Detroit Monday As Temperatures Warm

No severe weather is expected, but some of the storms can produce gusty winds up to 45 miles per hour, forecasters said.

METRO DETROIT — Thunderstorms are expected in metro Detroit on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

The scattered thunderstorms will likely cross the region sometime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday when high temperatures reach the low 60s, according to the National Weather Service.

Some of the stronger storms will be capable of producing wind gusts of 40 to 45 miles per hour, but no severe weather is expected in the region, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures in the area will fall back into the 50s on Tuesday and for the rest of the week, with more rain chances Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
